Introducing Showjumping…

Showjumping is an equestrian sport, where a single horse and rider combination compete against other combinations. It allows amateurs, professionals, male and female to compete alongside each other on an equal playing field and is competed across a level of both national and international competitions. Showjumping is the most popular equestrian discipline in Ireland with over 300,000 supporters.

Irish Team showjumping has hit many headlines over the years including the famous Aga Khan Team of Eddie Macken, James Kernan, Capt. Con Power and Paul Darragh, who between 1977 and 1979 won the Nations Cup in the R.D.S. The Irish Team were crowned the Samsung Nations Cup Champions in 2000. Wins in Falsterbo, Hickstead, Aachen, Dublin, St. Gallen and Wellington (USA) between 2011 and 2016 have added to this impressive tally.
